WHEN THE CROSS REVEALS REALITY___ Sunday Worships & Gospel Demos with San Francisco Neighbors, May 3, 2026

There comes a moment
when the Cross is no longer distant—
no longer a symbol,
no longer a story safely kept in the past.

It comes near.

And when it comes near,
it reveals.

It reveals what we have built our lives upon—
whether truth or illusion,
whether surrender or control,
whether love that gives
or love that protects itself.

Because the Cross does not flatter.
It does not adjust itself
to our comfort.

It stands,
unchanged,
and in its presence
everything else is measured.

What once looked strong
begins to crack.
What once seemed sufficient
is exposed as lacking.
What we called faith
is tested
by whether it can endure the weight of truth.

At the Cross,
self-sufficiency is undone.
We see clearly—
we do not save ourselves.
We do not heal ourselves.
We are not the source of our own life.

And yet,
this revelation is not destruction—
it is mercy.

Because the Cross does not only expose—
it restores.

It strips away illusion
so that truth can live.
It confronts the heart
so that it may be made whole.
It calls us out
not to abandon us,
but to bring us into what is real.

And what is real
is this:

Love that remains
when it costs.
Truth that stands
when it is opposed.
Grace that transforms
what it touches.

So when the Cross reveals reality,
we are left with a choice—
to turn away
and preserve the illusion,
or to step forward
and be changed.

Because reality,
as the Cross reveals it,
is not comfortable.

But it is true.
